Janice Earl Whipple

61-year Resident of Pacheco
Janice passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 28, at the age of 94. The third of 5
children of Milton & Erma Frehner Earl, Janice was born June 1, 1929, in Overton, Nevada.
Raised on a family dairy farm in Overton, where Janice developed love for family. She was kind to everyone she came in contact with, which served her well throughout her life.

She is survived by her three sons, Douglas (Jana), David (Leslie), and Alan (Rene); 17 terrific
grandchildren, Caulin Campbell (Gwen), Caitlin Campbell (Matt), Alta Bills (Thomas), Conner
Whipple (Riley), Reed Whipple (Jasmine), Anne Whipple, Rachel Cordon (David), Ashley Teel
(Kevin), Jacob Whipple (Jenny), Kyle Whipple (Alisha), Lauren Schumacher (Andrew), Joseph
Whipple, Sarah Whipple, Jared Whipple (Breanna), Shayla Frandsen (Benjamin), Hannah Miskin (Tyler), Eli Whipple (Taylor), and 34 great-grandchildren.

After graduating from Moapa Valley High School, she attended Brigham Young University. She
worked throughout her life in a variety of jobs, starting at age 16 at the local telephone
company. Janice, her husband (Virvin Jesse Whipple), and two oldest boys, moved to the San
Francisco Bay Area in 1954. She worked for many years for the Mt. View Sanitary District in
Martinez, CA. She then worked with her husband, V.J., in a business they owned and operated
together -- Whipple Tax Service -- from 1980 until 1996.

Janice's life was full with opportunities to serve family, church, and community. She served in a variety of assignments for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she enjoyed any calling that involved music. She especially enjoyed her time serving together with her husband, V.J., as Church-Service Missionaries.

Visitation will be at 10:00 AM, and Services at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 6, at The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 940 Palisade Dr., Martinez. Interment will be at
Oakmont Memorial Park, 2099 Reliez Valley Rd, Lafayette. In lieu of flowers, if desired, contributions may be made to the LDS Church Missionary Fund,
