Rebecca, born June 1, 1788, died 1790
Rebecca Titus was scalded to death when a small child. The family Bible records that she was two years old. It is thought that the accident occurred by the old fireplace in the Titus hoe along Stoney Brook where the Kingsfords live today. Rebecca's parents both died in that house. Solomon Titus was a revolutionary War soldier and died there in 1833. Her mother, Susannah Reed Titus, died there in June 1854. That dear lady lived to survive the tragedy of her grandson which occurred on the same property in 1841.
