Deidra Annette Golden was born on July 19, 1978, to Loren and Diane Golden at Aberdeen, South Dakota. She was baptized at Westside Wesleyan Church, where she was a lifelong member. She attended school in Webster, graduating from Webster High School in 1997. She went on to further her education at Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown, earning a degree in cosmetology. Deidra worked at Regis Hair Salon in Watertown.

On October 23, 2004, she married Joe Zubke at Westside Wesleyan Church. To this union two beautiful daughters were born, Lauren and Breckette. The family made their home in Watertown and Deidra opened her own in-home salon. She later opened a consignment shop, Dee's Closet in Watertown. The family then relocated to Bristol and Deidra worked at Strand Kjorsvig Living Center in Roslyn in the social services department. She most recently was employed at Damar's convenience store in Langford.

Deidra had a very generous heart with a never-ending compassionate soul. She was always willing to help anyone in need. It was her mission to help others. She loved time spent with friends, whether it be watching the Minnnesota Vikings or the newest episode of Yellowstone. She enjoyed Christmas shopping and had an extensive knack for decorating her home. She often was burning candles and listening to Kenny Chesney! She loved attending her girls' sporting events and cheering on the Langford Lions! She loved giving and receiving back massages and cuddling with her girls snuggled up on the couch. Above all else, she loved her family, her girls were her world.

She will be forever loved by her husband Joe and daughters Lauren and Breckette of Bristol, SD, her parents Loren and Diane Golden of Webster, SD, one sister Angela (Paul) Rasmussen of Atwater, MN, father-in-law Lynn (Deb) Zubke of Roslyn, SD, sister-in-law April (Ben) Ries of Watertown, SD, nephews & nieces, Robert Rasmussen, Sheldon Rasmussen, John Rasmussen, Hayden Ries, Evan Ries, and Paisley Ries. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

She was welcomed to heaven by her brother Grant Golden, Joe's mother Lois Zubke, maternal grandparents Ervin and Una Tvinnereim, paternal grandparents Vern and Myrtle Golden and special family friend, Todd Storley.
