Born to Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Wilkinson on a farm a half mile south of the Pleasant Valley church in the Valley community of Allen County, KS. She married Ashley Washington Irvin 19 May 1920 in Kansas. To this union were born two children, Newton Elwood and Ica Lorean. She later married Randal Harry Punneo February 18, 1939, in Jackson County, Missouri.
According to the 1950 Federal Census, Randal Punneo, 45, Elsie E Punneo, 51, and Newton E Irvin, 29 were residing in Edgewater, Colorado where Randal was employed as a trucker.
Per her obituary published in The Iola Register, Iola, Kansas, Fri, Mar 5, 1965, page 2:
she is survived by a married daughter and son in California; five brothers, Tom Wilkinson, Baxter Springs, Henry Wilkinson, Plaineville, Ira Wilkinson, Miami, OK, Olin Wilkinson, Baker, OR, and Alvin Wilkinson, Moberly, MO, and one sister, Mrs. Claude (Lena) Franklin of Kansas City, KS. "She requested her children to have her buried beside her mother and father in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Punneo were held at Farris Funeral Home in Colony."
