Obituary from premierfuneral.com:
Our sweet Betty passed away peacefully on July 25th, 2023 at 7:50 in the evening.
She left behind her husband, Tony Curtis Oakman and their three sons, Curtis, JC, Matthew, and their wives, with three grandchildren and two grand babies on the way.

The end of her time on this earth came swiftly but was a blessing as she was suffering more than she let on. Despite her pain, she stayed faithful, and true to her Heavenly Father and His gospel. Her strength in her life carried on until the very end. She was a kind, loving lady who had friends all around her, wherever she went. She influenced many for good and touched many lives. One of her favorite things to do was to teach primary and to talk with the little children. She loved them and they loved her. She followed her Savior's example of blessing and healing the sick and afflicted. Betty's nursing career lasted forty-five years but she continued being a nurse to her family and neighbors.

Betty had a great enthusiasm for holidays especially, Halloween. She was giddy each year to scare everyone and make them smile and laugh with her new decorations. Her love language was sharing everything that happened in her day. Often that included cleaning, errands, and talking to her sweet friends. Anytime she met someone, within minutes she would not only find a common friend but also would be able to find out how she was related to them. Some of her favorite moments were to get together with her family and tell stories. The stories tended to grow each time she told them. She laughed often, smiled even more, and loved unconditionally. To say she will be missed greatly is a generous understatement.
