Carl Ray Clifton, Retired Foreman

Carl Ray Clifton, 72, of Hebron, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.

He was a retired foreman with the Kentucky State Highway Department, Boone County, an Army veteran, a member of Hebron Baptist Church, American Legion Post No. 4, Boone County Water Rescue Team, former member of the Boone County Police Auxiliary, and past president and member of the Hebron Fire Protection District.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Blaker Clifton; a son, Carl Ray Clifton II of Hebron; a daughter, Shari Wallace of Belvidere, Ill.; a brother, Guilford Clifton Jr. of Hebron; a sister, Jane Melton of Latonia; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Burlington Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, 644 Linn St., Suite 304, Cincinnati, Ohio 45203; Hebron Baptist Church, 3435 Limaburg Road, Hebron, Ky. 41048; or the charity of the donor's choice.
