Gary was raised in Binghamton and Nichols, NY and was a 1959 graduate of Tioga Central School. He earned his bachelor's degree in 2000 from the College for Lifelong Learning. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring in 1981 after 21 years of service. Upon return to civilian life, he worked for the Navy Department as a civil servant. Gary was fond of the arts and was a talented writer, poet and painter.
Family members include (removed for privacy). In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Paula Lane.
