Anetta Kay Beabout, age 72, of Hamden, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023, at her home. She was born October 29, 1951 in Wellston, Ohio, to Clarence Dale Leach and Carrie Holtz Leach. Anetta Kay was a 1969 graduate of Wellston High School. She was a licensed practical nurse, who received her nursing degree from the Hocking Tech School of Nursing. Anetta Kay was a former employee at Huston Nursing Home in Hamden and Family Health Care in McArthur. She was a past member of Puritan Free Will Baptist Church. Anetta Kay always enjoyed taking her grandkids shopping and going on vacations with her husband and family. She is survived by her mother, Carrie Powell of South Carolina and formerly of McArthur; children, Katie Beabout Perry of Hamden and Stagerlee Beabout (Melissa) of Hamden; grandchildren, Derrick Gilliland (Elizabeth), Ryan Gilliland, Nicole Beabout, Sara Smith (Joseph), Alycia Welch (Simon), and Rebekah Beabout; step-grandchildren, Darrin Perry and Kelcie Lambert (Alex); great-granddaughters, Gracelyn Gilliland and Laura Welch; step-great-granddaughters, Myla Lambert and Layla Perry; sister, Jeannette Canode of South Carolina; brother, Dale Leach (Jeanne) of Dover; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Leach; step-father, Norman Powell; husband, Carl Allen Beabout; daughter, Melissa Beabout Gilliland; and sister, Jeannine Bowden. Calling hours will be Friday, December 22nd, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with her son, Pastor Stagerlee Beabout officiating. Burial will be in the Hamden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Anetta Kay requested that a contribution be given in her memory to a favorite charity of one's choice.
