Sylvia Marlene Collins, 89, of Marble Hill, Missouri passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 at Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born January 28, 1934 in Brownwood, MO to William and Nora (Shirrell) Long.
Sylvia and Raymond James Collins were married October 14, 1950 in Piggott, AR. He preceded her in death February 17, 2004.
She worked as sewing machine operator for the Paramount Hat Factory.
She attended Hahn Chapel Church when the children were young and later First Baptist Church in Marble Hill.
Sylvia loved to put puzzles together, solve Crossword books and play Bingo.
Survivors include daughter, Betty Ann (Jess) Rambo; four sons, Dennis (Sharon) Collins, Roger (Brenda) Collins, Gary (Roxanne) Collins, Brad (Tina) Collins; two sisters, Shelby Schulte, Kathy Hale; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, one of which who carries her namesake, Little Sylvia.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Timothy Collins; her parents; sister, Shirley June Long; brother, Ray Dean Long; one special double cuz, Omega (Shirrell) Hawkins.
Visitation will be 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, December 11, 2023 at Ford & Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm brother Fred Ritter officiating.
Burial will be at Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery in Marble Hill.
