He was a native of Norfolk, Virginia.
Kelvin leaves to cherish his memory a son Obadillion Murphy; his mother, Lois M. Tabron (Lafayette); father, Calvin M. Ward; six sisters, Marcella A. Sutton, Maria N. Fontenet, Felica Murphy, Ebony Murphy, Maurita Ward, and Ashley Ward; two brothers, Joshua Murphy and Isaiah Ward; grandparents, Betty Murphy, Dorothy Dunston, and John Ward; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service was held 11:00AM, Saturday April 12, 2008, at Holy Ghost Church of Fire, 1110 Clayton Drive, Norfolk, VA. Apostle Raymond Porter officiated.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, VA.
The family received relatives and friends for remembrance and visitation from 6pm-8pm, Friday at Beach Funeral Services, Inc., 4456 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach, VA.
