Joseph Earn Allen was born in Newton County, AR. He moved to Salem, OK in 1909, and to Seminole in 1928.

He was married to Norine Jones Allen in Weleetka, OK on June 9, 1934. See pictures of both to the right. They had 4 children, Carmon Lee Allen, Arnold Ray Allen, Clyde Edward Allen (buried in West Lawn Cemetery in Henryetta OK) and Joyce Francis Allen Harber (buried in West Lawn Cemetery in Henryetta, OK). Norine became very ill and tragically passed away July 13, 1944 at the age of almost 29 and is buried in Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood CA. She left 4 small children and her husband behind.

Joe later married Ola Ellison in Seminole. That was around 1948. They later separated but never divorced. She died Sep. 1, 1996 and was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, OK. See her link below.

He worked in the oil fields. He died of a probable stroke according to the coroner in Seminole. However, he could have just as easily died of a heart attack as he had passed away at his home and was found later. No autopsy was done. He died at the age of 60.

His parents were William Benjamin Allen (1867-1947) and Allie Victoria Bearden Allen (1871-1929). Allie is buried in West Lawn Cemetery in Henryetta, OK. William Benjamin Allen died in 1947 in Crumwell (sp?), AR and was buried there. An extensive search of cemeteries has not turned up exactly where he is.

He had 5 siblings, Minnie Elizabeth (or Elizebth) Allen Daniels (probably buried in California as she died in Los Angeles), Leo Otto Allen, Ida B. Allen McLeland Capps, William Harley Allen, and Elsie M. Allen Yates.
