The funeral for Claudia J. Carter will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing, with the Rev. John Royalty officiating. Following the service, there will be a celebration at 605 East Ave., in Red Wing. Burial will be at a later date in LeRoy Cemetery.

Claudia Jane Carter, 66, of Red Wing, died Monday (April 21, 2008) at Fairview Red Wing Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 15, 1941, in Farmington, Iowa. She was a graduate of Elkton High School and attended Austin Junior College. In the early 1990s, she moved to Red Wing, where she worked for ProAct. She enjoyed children and her job.

Survivors include a sister, Rea (Joseph) Wilcox of Rochester; and three brothers, Edward Carter of Pennsylvania, William (Michelle) Carter of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Charles Carter of Keosauqua, Iowa; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Madge (Munford) Carter.

Visitation will be an hour before the service Saturday at Mahn Family Funeral Home in Red Wing.

Memorials are preferred to ProAct.
