Bettye Catherine Wilson Boldra, 80 years 11 months and 7 days of age, of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, December 13th, 2023 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.
Bettye was born in Somerset, Kentucky on Wednesday, January 6th, 1943, daughter of the late Lewis Edwin Wilson and Dorothy Katherine Hansford Wilson. She was of the Baptist faith. Bettye enjoyed sewing, making quilts, knitting, making gifts for others, singing and disco. She loved to make others laugh and making new friends. Most of all she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and fur baby "Bella".
Bettye was survived by one son, Thomas Ferrell (and Lynnett); two grandchildren, Quinton Ferrell and Dylan Ferrell; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Edwin Wilson, who departed this life on July 25th, 1944 and Dorothy Katherine Wilson, who departed this life on March 29th, 2020; her loving husband of 11+ years, Robert Dale Boldra, whom she married in Glenwood, Iowa on July 23rd, 2001 and who departed this life on February 27th, 2013.
Visitations were held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 18th, 2023 at the Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 18th, 2023 in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Burial followed in the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, Kentucky.
