Dee was born December 23, 1938, in Chamois, Missouri, the daughter of Charlie and Jessie Senevey. She attended the University of Central Missouri and married her college sweetheart on April 15, 1960. She and Bob were married for 51 years and were blessed with a son, Rob, daughter-in-law, Opal, and four precious granddaughters. She is also survived by a brother, Leo Seveney (Nina); a brother-in-law, Don Yockey (Sonya); two aunts and many nieces and nephews.
Dee assisted Bob with his real estate career for many years. She enjoyed crafts, especially painting, flower arranging, and cooking. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family . . . taking trips together, shopping for them and cooking their favorite foods. She was affectionately called 'Honey' by her granddaughters.
She was a member of Mission Road Bible Church, where she served faithfully for nearly 40 years. She currently attended Olathe Bible Church and enjoyed being part of a small group there. We rejoice to know that she is with the Lord and look forward to that great reunion day!
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 7th, at Mount Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery South." The Kansas City Star, June 2, 2011
