Richard was born on December 14, 1959 in Ben Hill County, GA and spent his childhood in Douglas, GA where he graduated from Coffee County Highschool. He joined the Army in 1978 with tours of service in Panama, Germany, Korea, Egypt, as well as Desert Storm. While in the military he pursued higher education and a degree from South Central Texas University. After retiring from the military in 1998 he decided to reside near Fort Campbell and joined the workforce as a security guard for some years as well as working for a local Veterans facility.
Richard loved being outdoors. Whether it was fishing, hunting, or spectating, he enjoyed nature all around. He had a love for music and spent hours playing records, CDs, and even mixing tapes. He had a love for tinkering that went from audio equipment to his collection of RC Cars.
Richard is survived his daughter, Tesha (Louis Rosario), his sister, Debra (Mark Gentry) and his 5 grandchildren, as well as one great grandson. Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Bostic and father, Raymond Bostic, his brother, Berry Bostic, as well as his son, Brandon Bostic.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
