Betty Jeane Secord passed away 02 Dec 2023 in Marysville, Snohomish, WA. She was born 04 Apr 1923 in Ellensburg, Kittitas Co. WA. She lived to be 100 years old. She was the only child of Earl Bascom and Flora Angy Ruth (Moore) Sackett. Betty graduated from Queen Anne High School in Seattle and married Philip McNeil Morris on 10 May 1942. The couple had 6 children, 5 survive and numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Betty later married Glenn Sheldon Secord on 18 Nov 1955 and the couple made their home in Seattle with Glenn's three boys and Betty's children. Glenn passed away in 1990 in Seattle. Betty was a life member of the Analia Chapter #112 Order of Eastern Star, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, and the National Huguenot Society. Betty enjoyed travel, golf, playing cards and working at the Edmonds food pantry. Survivors include; Philip Morris of Snohomish, Robert Morris of Arlington, Jo Ann and Ron Harris of Bellevue, Bette Thorstenson of Edmonds and Sara and Bill Bowser of Reno, NV, Paul Secord of Kirkland and Jay Secord of Redmond. No funeral service is planned. Donations made be made in honor of Betty to the Lighthouse for the Blind.
