Julius Zeibert was indicted for manslaughter, tried at the November term, 1873, convicted December 11, and sentenced to the penitentiary for four years.
The case of Frederick was appealed to the Supreme Court, which reduced his sentence to nine years, and subsequently both men were pardoned.
