Agatha Lynn Sowers, 61, of Carlsbad, NM passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Agatha was born to Francis and Montie Jean Johnson on March 7, 1962, in Carlsbad, NM.

Agatha was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, granny, and friend to many. She loved to socialize, garden, and cook for her friends and family. She was a vibrant and boisterous woman. She brought smiles and full bellies to all she knew and loved. Her life motto was no lying, cheating, or stealing, and always remember humor twice daily. She loved this New Mexican desert, between the many caves and river spots, she was right at home with her flashlight and kayak. Her laugh was contagious, as well as her smile and green eyes lit up the room. She will be missed dearly and always loved. Agatha's out with a Pahhtahh!

Agatha was proceeded in death by her father, Francis Johnson; husband, Buzzy Sowers; brother, Andrew Johnson; and granddaughter, Liberty Sowers.

Agatha is survived by her mother, Montie Jean Johnson; daughter, LaShawna Krause and husband, JD; son, Jeremy Sowers and wife, Kolita; sisters: Lavonn Means, Delain Cowen, Angela Wells and husband, Bo; brother, Daren Holley; granddaughters: Karis Krause, Kaitlin Krause, Juniper Sowers, and Maggie Castaneda; and many nieces, nephews, and adopted family members.
