Robert Lee Benavidez, 65, entered eternal life to be with his heavenly father and loved ones on Saturday December 9, 2023.Robert was born on July 24,1958 in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Juan De Dios and Isabel Martinez-Benavidez formerly of Gallinas Canyon.

Robert grew up in Mineral Hill and attended Robertson High school. Robert was a jack of all trades; but pursued his desired goals in Construction, building for many in Northern NM and Prague, Oklahoma. His work reflected his dedication to the communities and families he built for. He incorporated his own inspiration and love for design into all he helped build. He enjoyed hunting, horseback riding, raising cattle and gathering family for a yearly hike to hermit's peak on Good Friday! His love for his family was always a priority and was always willing to help all that were in need.

He is preceded in death by his parents Juan and Isabel and siblings Lawrence and Johnny Martinez, Mary Tommy Turner-Gurule, Rosemarie and Raphael Benavidez. Those that mourn his passing include great nephew, Thomas Chavez who was like a son, his brothers Paul Benavidez, Macario Martinez (Georgia), and sisters Connie Coca (John), Annamae Gonzales (David) Irene Graston (Paul), Denise Benavidez (Angelo), numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Cremation has taken place and services will be held on Thursday December 28th, 2023, with a rosary at 9 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery in San Geronimo, NM.

Honored to be Urn Bearers are Thomas Chavez and Paul Benavidez.

The Honorary Urn Bearers are Frank Garston. J.B. Rudolph, Wayne nieces and nephews.

The Benavidez family would like to thank family and friends for reaching out during this difficult time. Your comforting expressions of sympathy will always be remembered with deep gratitude.
