Brian was a pilot with Group 91 Squadron 21 OTU of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Service Number : 1314169

Brian departed from Edgehill airfield at 2348 on 31st July 1942 in the Wellington bomber IC X9983 SJ-D for a mission over Dusseldorf. His plane was attacked by Werner Streib, and it crashed about 02.15 hrs 3 km SW of Helden, killing the crew, except one who survived and was taken prisoner.
