GREENWOOD - Dessie Mae Marshall, of 115 Mosley Road, wife of James Marshall, died Dec. 14, 1997, at her home.
Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late John Henry and Sara Ellen Terry Sr.
She was a member of Second Damascus Baptist Church, the Missionary Society, Senior Choir and was a Sunday School Teacher.
She was a founder of the Breeze wood Community Club and was a past president and current secretary of the Mt. Pisgah No. 418 Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of the home, are four sons, Albert Terry and Kennedy Terry, both of Greenwood, Curtis Terry of Florence and Ken Marshall of Norcross; two daughters, Dorothy Brown of Columbia and Vickie Nelson of Greenwood; three brothers, Collins Terry, Benjamin Terry and John Henry Terry Jr., all of Greenwood; four sisters, Margaret Cannon, Sara Gaston and Lillie Bell Andrews, all of Greenwood and Ida Robinson of Baltimore, Md.; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Second Damascus Baptist Church with the Rev. Leroy Robinson officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jeremiah Wilson. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body will be placed in the church at noon.
Pallbearers will be Mt. Pisgah Lodge No. 418.
Flower bearers will be Mt. Pisgah Order of the Eastern Star No. 418. Honorary escort will be the Missionary Society of Damascus Baptist Church, the Breezewood Community Club and Junior Sunday School Class.
The family will receive friends at the home.
