Jack worked with my husband at Sears for many years.Jack had a heart of gold, a wonderful employee and great friend.When my husband went into business for himself, he hired Jack's son, Jarvis and later sold Jarvis Eastern AC. Unfortunately, Jarvis passed away in 2007. Jarvis is buried beside his dad, Jack at Elmwood.

GOLDSBORO — Carlos Jack Flowers, 65, of Pikeville, died Friday, May 25, 2001 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. The Rev. Jeff Black will officiate at the funeral Sunday at 3 p.m. at Shackleford Funeral Chapel, 102 N. Pine St., Fremont. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Dollie Strickland Flowers of the home; his mother, Irene Flowers, of Fremont; his daughter, Rhonda Fields of Pikeville; his son, Jarvis Flowers of Pikeville; his sister, Betsy Braswell of Kinston; his brother, John Flowers of Pikeville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Shackleford Funeral Service.
