Graveside funeral services will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. for Maricopa resident, JC Chitwood, 20. Rev. Leo Fisher will officiate at the service. JC was born in Bakersfield on April 25, 1987 and passed away on April 19, 2008. He attended Taft Union High School and graduated in 2005 with honors, in the top twenty of his class. JC enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with all his close friends. JC was preceded in death by his Papa, Lumpy Lumsden; his grandfathers, Charles Chitwood and Stephen Hayden. JC is survived by his parents, Jim and Karen Chitwood of Maricopa; his brother, Chad Chitwood and his fiancée, Tiffany Gee; his grandparents, Ken and Dorothy Carmical of Bakersfield and Rose Hayden of Hartflat; his aunts and uncles, Jeff and Vicki Howard of Taft, Jimbo and Robin Lumsden of Maricopa, Gene and Pam Chitwood of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Jay and Belinda Simmons of Liberty, Missouri; his niece, Kaydence; his cousins, Robert Lumsden, Stephanie Mazzie, Jason Chitwood, Steven Simmons, Brad Howard, Kara Simmons and Brett Howard; his many other great aunts and uncles; other relatives; his close friends, Erica Thompson, Britt Grissom, James Donnelly, Derek Bailey, Mark Christensen, and Ashley Neal; and by his numerous other friends. The pallbearers at the service will be, Robert Lumsden, Brad and Brett Howard, Chad Chitwood, James Donnelly and Britt Grissom. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
