Kenneth (Kenny) Jerome Barmann, 61, of Rea, Missouri passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 3, 2023.

He was born March 13, 1962 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Gerald (Jerry) and Vesta V. (Guyer) Barmann.

He attended St. Francis Xavier school and was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1979.

Kenny was a business man, a gift he got from his father and owned Barmann Construction and Roofing Company. He loved to work, and was very proud of any of the jobs he did. He enjoyed working alongside his brothers Greg and Doug.

Kenny loved to paint, a gift he got from his mother. He also loved to fish, one of his favorite spots to go fishing was at Happy Holler Lake. He enjoyed being outside in the warm sun, gardening, and watching the birds.

Kenny was also a strong man of Faith. Through all of the challenges that he had to face recently, he always kept his kind nature. He was a gentle man and a wonderful brother, uncle and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Vesta, his sister, Tina L. Barmann, and brother-in-law, Terry Joe Crist.

Survivors include six siblings, Greg Barmann (Jan), William Barmann (Carol), Julie Owsley (David), Teresa Crist, Sheila Barmann and Doug Barmann; His best friend of many years whom he adored, Debby Hernandez; uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A heartfelt thank you to his caregivers at Mosaic Life Care and Mosaic Hospice Care, especially his niece April who helped Kenny through his short illness with love and care in making it a peaceful journey as angels took him to Heaven.

The Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm, Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, followed by a prayer service and visitation until 8:00 pm.

Donations would be appreciated to Mosaic Hospice or to a charity of the donor's choice.
