Morris Anderson, 85, of Oslo, MN., passed away on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at Altru Hospital, in Grand Forks, ND.
Morris Leroy Anderson, was born on Sept. 23, 1921, in Oak Park Township, Marshall County, MN., the son of Martin C. and Louise (Sather) Anderson.
On Dec. 21, 1940, he was united in marriage to Alice Oas, in Warren, MN. Morris served in the US Army, during World War II. He worked construction, drove semi, and also worked for local farmers. He lived his entire life in Oslo, until he entered Valley Eldercare, in Grand Forks, on Aug. 30, 2005. To pass the time, he spent many hours everyday doing paint by numbers and ring around the world puzzles. He always listened to the weather and could tell you about it.
He was a member of the Oslo American Legion Post #331.
Morris is survived by his wife, Alice of 65 years; daughter, Dianne (Bob) Boroski of Oslo, MN.; two sons: Gary Anderson of Grand Forks, ND., and Wayne Anderson of Anoka, MN.; grandson, Daryl Boroski of Oslo, MN.; six step-grandchildren: Darrell (Cheryl) Olson of Alvarado, MN., Bonnie (Dick) Boman of Thief River Falls, MN., Mike Olson of Rogers, MN., Wally (Nancy) Olson of Grand Forks, ND., Scott Olson of St. Pauls, NC., and James (Diane) Olson of East Grand Forks, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Daryl; daughter-in-law, Arlys Anderson; step-grandson, Ricky Olson; sisters: Clara, Esther, Gladys, and Myrtle; brothers: Alfred, Andy, Chester, and Joe; and an infant brother and sister.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, November 15, 2006, at Zion Lutheran Church, in Oslo, MN.
VISITATION: One hour before services, at the church.
INTERMENT: Riverside Cemetery, Oslo, MN.
MILITARY SERVICE: Oslo American Legion Post #331.
