He was a retired construction worker who loved fishing. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Painter served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Arizona Thomason Painter; brothers, Eldon Painter and Luther Painter; sisters, Annette Pollock and Loretta Greenleaf; son, Randy Painter; step-daughters, Wilma Hayes and April Hayes; and grandchildren, Heather Richardson and Stephanie Richardson.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Graveside services and inurnment will be held at a later date at Hollis Cemetery in Wayne County, TN.
