Fred Bachus of Reynolds St, died at 9:30 last evening of influenza-pneumonia at the Mercy Hospital. The Deceased was 31 years of age and was a young man that was respected by a large circle of friends and acquaintances.
He is survived by a wife and two children, Maria and Anna,and also his parents, Mr.and Mrs. Martin Bachus, and the following sisters and one brother: Mrs . Robert Tischler, Mrs. Frank Wilson, Mrs. Edward Cochran, Mrs George Strickland all of this place, and Leo Bachus who is serving with the American Expeditionary Force overseas.
The deceased served six years in the United States army. One term he served in the cavalry and one term in the heavy artillery.
The funeral will take place on Sunday at 2 o'clock. Rev. D.W.Bicksler of Christ Reformed Church will conduct the services. Interment will be made in the Shawnee cemetery. William Bachus, a brother of the deceased was buried just two weeks ago.
