The son of John and Barbara (Fatner) Petzold and widower of Sophia Ruff, John resided in Detroit and was a baker for the Myers Home Bakery. He died at the Detroit Receiving Hospital of bilateral bronchial pneumonia, and was interred at St Michael on 12 November 1934.
