Pearl Washington-Turner, 88, of Richmond, Va., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 17, 2008.

She was born on February 16, 1920 in Henrico County and was the daughter of the late George and Martha Washington. She was preceded in death by a son, Linwood Turner I; and a grandchild, Clarence Dabney.

She leaves cherished memories with her four daughters, Bessie Joann Sloan (Braven), Eunice Alston (Aubrey), Armetta Turner and Angela Wheeler (Aaron); one daughter-in-law, Laura Turner; two sons, Jessie Jones (Lenora) and Lucious Robinson; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Ralph and Tyrone Comer; one sister, Ruth Comer; great-niece, Deborah McWilliams; devoted friend and sister in Christ, Ruby Pearson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Her remains rested at the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home, 2700 North Ave., where the family received friends on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, from 6pm to 7pm. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at 11am, at the Watkins Community Chapel, 2701 Garland Avenue in Richmond. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
