Funeral services for James "Jim" Bookter Jr., 83, of Leesville, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville. Burial will follow in the Castor Cemetery in Leesville.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 1:00 P.M– 2:00 P.M in the funeral home.
Jim was born on February 3, 1940 in Macon, Mississippi to his parents, James Bookter Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Cavanaugh Bookter. He passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023 in Leesville.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Jima Lefleur Bookter, brothers; Charles Eugene Bookter, Phillip David Bookter, sister; Margaret Elizabeth Bell.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister; Rosalie Massie of Sulphur, Louisiana and numerous nieces and nephews.
