My Grandfather Vernon Funnell was born on October 31st 1903 in Farwell Michigan. He worked in construction business driving construction vehicles and trucks and stuff. He married his first wife Francis Furney-Funnell on June 19th 1927 and had four children with her daughters Virginia Funnell-Horn, Peggy Funnell-Glasgow, Joanne Funnell-Hrdlovich, and they adopted a son named Lewie Funnell who's biological parents were friends of my Grandfather's. My Grandfather lost his first wife Francis who died after giving birth to their fourth daughter Linda Funnell who also died shortly after being born. His granddaughter Linda Horn-Zedo(Virginia's daughter) is named after her. After the death of his wife Francis my grandfather married a woman named Doris but this marriage didn't last long and my Grandfather divorced Doris. Later on my grandfather married again for the third time to my Grandma Mildred Funnell who was 16 years younger than him. He had 6 children with her daughter Cindy Funnell-Agle, son LeRoy Funnell, son Jack Funnell(my dad), son Joe Funnell, son Rob Funnell, and daughter Chris Funnell-Harris. My Grandfather and my Grandmother and their children including my dad Jack moved down to Zephyrhills Florida in 1969 where he, my dad, and the rest of his sons worked in construction business starting Funnell Paving Business. My grandfather loved all his kids and his many grandchildren including some who he didn't get to meet including me. My dad Jack was said to be my Grandfather's favorite child out of all his 10 children and my dad looks exactly like him and his middle name is Vernon along with my Uncle LeRoy. My grandfather died the night my mom and dad staring dating. When my mom and dad returned home from their date my Uncle Joe took my dad Jack aside and said Dad died. It really tore my dad up alot because of the close relationship they had but he loves sharing the good stories of my grandfather to me which I really enjoy. My Grandfather was a good guy who'll never be forgotten. Three of his sons LeRoy in 1994, Joe in 1983, and Lewie in 1985 joined him later in death as well as his daughteer Peggy(date unknown), and his wife my Grandma Mildred Funnell in 2007.
