Virgil E. Clausen, 86, died Friday morning, December 1, 2023, in Corydon, Indiana. He was born August 10, 1937, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Victor Joseph and Irene McCown Clausen.

Virgil graduated from Ball State University with a BA degree. He retired from Loveland Ohio City School after an extended time teaching at the school. He was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds Baseball Team, Railroads and Geography. Virgil was loved by family and students.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Virgil is survived by Son, Gregory Scott (Kim) of Nevada; Daughter, Sheila Kay Zeidler (Doug) Of Elizabeth, Indiana; Sister, Linda Lee Johnson of Peru, Indiana; Grandchildren, David (Taylor), Margaret (Aaron), Olivia, Carolyn, Eleanor; several Nieces and Nephews and his beloved 4-legged friend and great companion, Sweetie.

Per family request, cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
