Barbara Ann (Hatfield) Tilson, age 61 of East Lansing, passed away on Friday morning January 11, 2008 at the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan surrounded by her family. Barbara was born on November 13, 1946 in Washington D.C. to Joseph F. and Lillian J. (Knowlton) Sullivan.
Barbara graduated from Lackey High School in Indian Head, MD. She was retired from Fisher Body in Lansing and on February 22, 1993 she married Gary Tilson in Las Vegas. Barabra loved to bowl and was very involved in bowling leagues.
She is survived by her husband Gary, daughter Jodine (Jody) Ann Hatfield of Seattle, WA, step-son, Barry (Rebecca) Tilson of Grand Ledge and step-dau Jennifer (Grace Dingo) Tilson of Clare, three grandchildren, Ellen, Noah and Gavin Tilson, sister, Marie (William) Goode-Spencer of Beauford, SC and brothers C.J. (Sandy) Sullivan and James W. Sullivan both of Indian Head, MD and sister-in-law, Chris Sullivan of Columbus, OH, several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two brothers Joseph and Douglas Sullivan and her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 P.M. at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Home in Perry with Pastor Gerald Sever Jr. officiating. Family will meet with friends on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Fremont Cemetery in Bancroft. Memorials can be given to the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan.
