Edna Sue Adkins age 64 of 3341 Greenpond Road, Chatham, VA died Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at her residence. She was born on March 31, 1944, in Pittsylvania County, the daughter of the late Omer Lee Adkins and the late Lizzie Adkins Adkins. She retired from Dan River Mills and was of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by five sisters, Rowena Adkins of Chatham, Lucy A. Dalton and her husband Elwood of Sycamore, Peggie Scruggs and her husband Ricky of Altavista, Adell Adkins and her husband Carl of Pelham, N.C., and Joan A. Davis and her husband Kelly of Altavista; five broth-ers, Gerald Adkins and his wife Mildred of Altavista, Lonnie Adkins and his wife Joyce of Lynchburg, Henry Adkins of Chatham, Wayne Adkins and his wife Janet of Chatham, and Lee Adkins and his wife Darlene of Chatham; and a number of nieces and nephews Graveside services will be conducted at Adkins Family Cemetery on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Steve Carlton officiating. Burial will be at Adkins Family Cemetery, in Chatham, VA.
