Joseph J Cane, of Ocean View DE (formerly of Wilmington DE and Silver Spring MD), passed away at Christiana Care Hospital on Wednesday, December 31, 2008, in Newark DE, at the age of 77..

Joseph was born in New York, to Joseph F and Antoinette (née Voce) Cane. Joseph a Corporate Executive, retired in 1994. As a veteran, Joseph served with US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of VFW Mason-Dixon Post# 7234 at Quillens Point in Ocean View DE, the Sussex Pines Country Club in Georgetown DE, and Congressional Country Club in Potomac MD. Joseph loved his family and friends and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, golfing, cooking, and entertaining.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jeanette A (née Franceschini) Cane; their children, Joseph N Cane and his wife Sandra, Carol L Allen and her husband Wayne, Stephen A Cane and his wife Joyce, Laura A Meile and her husband Kevin, Gregory Cane and his wife Jean, Paul Cane and his wife Melinda; a brother, Gene L. Cane; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at Saint Ann's Roman Catholic Church, in Bethany Beach DE.
