James was born 14 Dec 1803 in Kentucky and died 23 Jan 1880 in Linn County, Oregon. He married Mary Savage on 23 Feb 1826 in Cooper County, Missouri. They are both buried at the Wisner Cemetery, Kingston, Linn County, Oregon near their Oregon Donation Land Claim that was filed in Oregon City, Volume 2, #4885. James and his family [except the last child] crossed the plains from Missouri in 1852.
