Otis Jones, 65, of Cumberland, N.C., died Sunday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Fayetteville, N.C.

Mr. Jones, a native of Troup County, was a truck driver, a veteran of World War II and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Fayetteville.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Thelma Jones of Cumberland; one son, Donald Jones of Fayetteville; two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Gamble of LaGrange and Mrs. Jean Brown of Fayetteville; three brothers, the Rev. Henry Jones of LaGrange, James Jones of Fayetteville and Leonard Thompson of Opelika, Ala.; four sisters, Mrs. Odell Colvin of Columbus, Mrs. Lucinda Thompson of Phenix City, Ala., and Mrs. Ruth Payne and Mrs. Joyce Pritchett, both of LaGrange; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held this morning at Faith Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Shadowlawn Cemetery with the Revs. J. C. McMillian and Melvin Waters officiating.

The body will arrive at Fling Funeral Home tonight and will lie in state at Friendship Baptist Church from 2 until 4 p.m. Wednesday.
