She was the firstborn child and only daughter of this union.
At an early age, she joined Fellowship M. B. Church in Durant, MS; and would later be joined to Holy Church of Christ Deliverance in Durant, MS.
Ruby graduated from Durant High School Class of 1974 and later attended Mississippi Valley State University, Itta Bena, MS.
Ruby peacefully transitioned from life on Saturday, May 13, 2017, in Ruleville, MS.
She is preceded in death by her mother, her paternal grandparents, Johnny Roby and Essie Haynes, and her maternal grandparents, Everett and Ruby Raglin Burns.
