Catherine Dolores (nee Windham) Cohill-Rains, 88, of Warrenton, VA, for two years and previously of Langley Park and Davidsonville, died Feb. 18 in Warrenton, VA, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Raines was born August 1, 1920 in Washington, D.C., and attended Notre Dame Academy High School in Washington, D.C.
She worked as a keypunch operator at the Pentagon during World War II and at Trinity Missions in Langley Park in the 1970's. She loved to play cards and dance.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Monroe Rains; her former husband, George Alvin Cohill; her son, Francis A. Cohill; and her brother, John E. Windham.
She is survived by two stepsons, John Monroe Rains, Jr. and Michael Eugene Rains; her nephew and caretaker; and three nieces.
Family and friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, at Hardesty Funeral Home, 12 Ridgely Ave, Annapolis, immediately followed by the funeral service. Interment will be in Lakemont Cemetery, Davidsonville.
