With a deep and abiding appreciation for our Heavenly Father's Plan of Salvation, we temporarily bid farewell to our beloved mother, Linda Rae Trotta, who peacefully ended her mortal journey here on earth on November 22, 2023 at the age of 77 years old.

She will be remembered for her dedication to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, her love of music and the piano, her caring for Dennis and her children, and the indelible mark she left on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Mom was the oldest daughter of John and Velma Aegerter, born June 26, 1946 in Ogden, Utah. She remained in the Ogden area her entire life and graduated from both Bonneville High School and Stevens-Henager College of Business. Linda assisted her husband Dennis in founding Ogden-based Denco Security Services and continued to work with cherished co-workers at New York Life, Mound Fort Middle School, Utah Power and Light, and with her retirement from Reeve & Associates.

Mom was the older sister to both Susan and Fred Aegerter. She was the loving mother of four children, Trisha (James) Barnes, Farr West; Travis (LaShawn) Trotta, Plain City; Tonya Hall, Brigham City; and Tara (Jeff) Vining, Farr West. She was grandmother to 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Dennis Wayne Trotta; parents; and by her younger sister, Susan Aegerter.

Linda was a devout disciple of Jesus Christ and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and Dennis were very proud long-time active members of the Evergreen Park Ward (71st Ward). She was the Primary President, Primary pianist, and ward organist. Many of her church callings were related to music and playing the piano. She did her best to live her life in accordance with the principles of love, compassion, and service taught by her faith.

Though our hearts ache with her departure, we take much solace in the knowledge that she is out of pain, no longer inhibited by her failing mind and body, and that she has been reunited with Dennis and her other loved ones that preceded her in death.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, 100 N Monroe Blvd., Ogden. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist's North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.

The family wanted to also express its profound appreciation to all the many compassionate caretakers who assisted her at Quail Meadow Assisted Living over the years and to the excellent care she received from Cascade Springs/AFI Advanced Care Hospice, particularly to Heidi Stevenson and Maggie Hunt.
