“Archie Leroy Reynolds, 74, 2266 N Portland Arch Road, Covington, died at 12:20 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 1997 at his residence. He was born October 22, 1922 in Danville, Illinois, the son of Archie Raymond and Beulah Staton Reynolds. He married Mary K. Dennis January 8, 1944 in Lafayette. She survives.

He was a resident of Covington area for many years, moving from Lafayette in 1944. He attended Lafayette Jefferson High School. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He farmed from 1944 to 1976. He was employed at Hyster in Danville from 1975 until retiring in 1988.

Surviving, besides the wife, are: two sons, Larry (Linda) Reynolds, Covington, Terry (Kenna) Reynolds, Attica; three daughters, Karen (Max) Morgan, Sharon (Mike) Elliott and Tammy (Doug) Pearman, all of Covington; a sister, Lois Wagoner, Covington; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, with Pastor Jack Wagoner officiating. Burial will be in Lower Mound Cemetery, Covington. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. Military services at the grave by Walter Hoyt Post #350 American Legion.” – Fountain County Neighbor, Attica, Indiana, September 30, 1997
