Homer retired from Kokosing where he worked for 26 years as a Master mechanic including heavy equipment mechanic. His hobbies included woodworking, fishing, riding motorcycles, blacksmithing, building airboats, and working with hydraulics to mention a few. Homer built the family home and made many pieces of furniture including a baby crib for the family. He built a Shelby Cobra and spent the summers taking it to car shows and winning many trophies. Homer was the guy that everyone went to either have him fix something or get his advice on how to fix it themselves.
Homer is survived by his wife of 62 years, Linda (Colgin) McGrew; daughters, Laura (Don) Ridgeway of Fredericktown and Connie (Jim) Kennedy of Fredericktown; grandchildren, Andrea (Vince) Poland, Casey (Zach) Hawkins, J.C.
