Mrs. Elsie Campbell Whitaker, 83, New Hope, died Thursday at the Whitesburg Manor.
The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Walker Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mae Willa Mason; six sons, James Whitaker of New Hope, Gene Whitaker and Quinn Whitaker, both of Huntsville, Holliman Johnson Whitaker of Memphis, Roy Whitaker of Mobile, Billy Whitaker of Augusta, GA; three brothers, Jack Campbell and Finnel Campbell, both of New Orleans and Joe Wayne Campbell of Huntsville; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Ricketts of Birmingham, and Mrs. Frances Lamp and Mrs. Betty Brasher, both of Florida; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Married Hugh Johnson Whitaker on December 23, 1924, Madison Co, AL.
