Otto was the husband of Clara Alberta (Splawn) Henderson (1901-1974). Otto and Clara were married in July 1920 in St. Joseph, Buchanan, Missouri. Otto was the father of nine boys and one girl including: Albert Vern "Vern," Charles Herbert "Herb," Elmer Hugh, Marion Clarence, James Ellis, Jean Ann, Alvin Paul, Otto D'Orsay "Bud," William Donald "Bill," and Richard Daniel "Dick" Henderson. Otto was the son of Ahira T. Henderson and Mary Catherine (Bagley) Henderson Morris and stepson of Henry Perry Morris. Otto was a Veteran of WWI - US Navy.

PLEASE NOTE: Otto was NOT buried in Madera County, California! This is another "O. V. Henderson" (1908-1977) who was born in Alabama, married to Bertha Grubbs and died in Madera County, CA. Otto Vern Henderson (1891-1973) never lived in California and was never buried anywhere. Both he and his wife were cremated and their ashes were scattered over Winchester Bay, Oregon.
