Mr. Frank Wilson, age 91of Newnan, Georgia, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Frank Wilson was born May 3, 1932 in Palmetto, Georgia and was the son of the late Horace and Willie Bell Wilson. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years Peggie Wilson, sisters Addie Bell Jones, Doris Brown, Leona Storey, Marjorie Crosley and Josephine Carroll. Survivors include his sons Ken (Debbie) Wilson of Wedowee, Alabama, Mike Wilson of Tyrone, Georgia, two grandchildren Kristina (Dan) Medvedev of Canton, Georgia and Christopher (Katie) Wilson of Newnan, Georgia.
Frank retired from Delta Air Lines in 1987 and enjoyed many years of retirement traveling, old tractor/engine shows, vintage cars and gardening. He was a long-time member of the First Christian Church of Tyrone, Tyrone, Georgia.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Parrott Funeral Home, 8355 Senoia Road, Fairburn, Georgia 30213 with visitation at 1:00p.m. followed by funeral service at 2:00p.m. in the Chapel officiated by long-time friend and Pastor Gary Boyd. Graveside service to be held at Forrest Lawn Memorial Park, 656 Roscoe Road, Newnan, Georgia 30264 where he will be laid to rest.
