Doris enjoyed every opportunity to ride Harley Davidson motorcycles, scrapbooking, researching her family ancestry-genealogy and was a collector of gemstone jewelry. She took pride in lovingly caring for and spending every moment possible with her kids, grandkids, great grandkids; her adored Chihuahua Sandy; and she loved a good snowball.
Doris is survived by her 5 children; 1 son, Jean Raymond Vice, 4 daughters, Jody Trahan, Jessie Barksdale, Jennifer Olinde and husband Tommy Olinde and Jamie Brown and husband Hayden Brown; 18 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren; brother, Charlie Nelson Marbury and wife Joyce Brock Marbury; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband, James Raymond Vice of 39 years; and her parents. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 S. Range Ave. in Denham Springs, on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Stephen Hebert. The visitation will continue at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Rd in Baker, on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 from 9:00 AM until religious service at 11:00 AM, conducted by the Rev. Frank Bass. Interment at GreenOaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd in Baton Rouge. A reception to follow will be announced.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to "Hospice In His Care" and Team for the unique physical, spiritual and emotional care that was provided for Doris and her Family during the past year.
