Joseph C. (J. C.) Chris, 48, died unexpectedly Wednesday night at his home, 189 Moreno Ct.
Mr. Chris had been a lifelong resident of Pensacola and was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Vera Hall Chris; a son, Clarence Chris; a daughter, Mary Ann Chris; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. F. Chris, all of Pensacola.
Funeral services will be conducted in Fisher-Pou Chapel at 5 p.m. Friday with the Rev. John D. Thomas, the Rev. J. C. Carmichael, and the Rev. James Johnson officiating.
Pallbearers will be: Active; Leo Cohron, Tom Johnson, Russell Mead, Winston McCall, Whipple Gandy, Bernard Schiafrino; honorary, O. O. Shaw, Vaughn Hall, Harry Howland, Joe Oravey, Fred Egelhoff, and Al Ganlenbeck.
Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.
