Patty Jo Tipton Meadows, age 79, of Marshall, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, Thursday November 9, 2023. She was born on March 12, 1944 in Madison County, to the late Coleman and Robena Clark Tipton.
Patty was a seamstress for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her grandchildren were her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Meadows; and 3 brothers, Elbert, Guy, and Pete Tipton
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Annie Meadows, Donna Hensley (Gary), and Michelle Tipton (Kurt); sons, Matthew Tipton, and Jay Tipton (Julie); a sister, Betty Pressley; a brother, Bruce Tipton; 11 grandchildren, Jessica, Coleman, Alexander, Sophia, Addison Troy, Jaylie, Brayden, Braylee, Kynzlee, and Case; and 2 great grandchildren, Izaiah, and Jazmine.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 13, 2023 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Charles English will officiate. Burial will follow in the Marshall City Cemetery. Jay, Matthew, Coleman, Troy, Kurt, Alexander, Cody, and Gary will serve as pallbearers.
