Barn Lewis Butler, 79, of Bolivar passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility in Bolivar.
He was born on Oct. 30, 1942, in Stockton, to Orville and Gertie Butler.
After graduating from Stockton High School, Barn enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After his service time, he began working in the Kansas City area for General Motors. Barn worked for GM for 10 years before returning to southwest Missouri and beginning a long career installing home siding in Springfield. Barn became a master of his craft and continued working in the field for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Gertie Butler, and one son, Bobby Lewis Butler.
Barn is survived by his son Scott Butler and his wife Beth of Bolivar, two grandchildren, Shayn Lewis Butler and Jacksyn Lee Butler, both of Bolivar, and Scott's mother, Rose Butler, who also resides in Bolivar.
Services for Barn will be announced at a later date.
