Karon went home to be with the Lord on August 21, 2021. She was born on April 12, 1950 in Athens, Texas to Luther Houston Lawson and Loretta Fay Cook Lawson. Karon grew up in the Athens area and graduated from Athens High School in 1968. On March 14, 1970 she married her true love, Donald Ellis Fulford and then moved to Canton, Texas. They had 37 wonderful years together until his passing in 2007. Karon was a long time member of Canton First Assembly of God before moving to Flint, Texas. She has been a member of Redeeming Grace Fellowship in Tyler, Texas for the past 6 years. She loved the Lord and listening to gospel music, as well as spoiling her dogs, Lilly and Lucy. She enjoyed growing beautiful plants and flowers, shopping and traveling. Karon's pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Karon is survived by her son, Donnie Fulford and wife, Tessa; daughter, Amy Selvidge and husband, Shannon; grandson Chance Selvidge and wife, Stacey; grandson Colton Selvidge; brothers, Jerry Lawson and wife, Carol, David Lawson, Billy Lawson and wife, Renae; sisters in-law, Becky Lawson and Kay Fulford; brother in-law, Richard Fulford and wife, Kay; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Karon is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Loretta Lawson; husband, Donald Ellis Fulford; brother, Mac Burton.
